Prince Royce has full name Geoffrey Royce Rojas, is an American singer and songwriter. Prince was born on May 11, 1989, and raised in The Bronx, a borough of New York City. His father was a cab driver, while his mother used to work in a beauty salon. They have four children, Royce is the second one. Both his parents were from the Dominican Republic, that shows why he is attracted to the music mostly Bachata. He began competing in talent shows since his school days, along with taking part in the choir. He has also started writing poetry, afterward turned into songwriting. In early 2010, he made his debut with the release of his studio album named after himself, after which he quickly raised the ladders of success within the next few years. Since his childhood, he wanted to be a Singer. At the age of fifteen, along with a friend and partner, he started making music. A turning point came in his life after met with Andres Hidalgo and Sergio George and the latter signed him to his record label. Featuring two of his successful singles, in 2010, he released his debut album. It was a quick hit, which reached number one on US Billboard Latin Albums. He released the next album 'Phase II', and in 2012, the third album 'Soy El Mismo' released in 2013.

Afterwards, he met with Sergio George, who after listening to three of his demos, immediately signed him to his record label 'Top Stop Music'. He released his debut album 'Prince Royce' in March 2010, which became an instant hit. This changed him from an ambitious artist into a musical star within a short span of time. The album reached number 1 on the US Billboard Tropical Album Chart. It also reached number 1 on the Latin American album. It became one of the most popular albums of the year, and Royce received many awards and nominations. In April 2012, His second studio album 'Phase II' was released.
